What skills are required?
To explore Berlin on a houseboat you do not need any special skills, because many waterways in and around Berlin are accessible without a boat license. However, it is advisable to never ignore the houseboat owner's introduction and advice.

What can you discover?
Berlin and it's beautiful surrounding areas in Brandenburg are criss-crossed by many waterways and lakes. You can admire many incredible sights of Berlin from the water. In addition, there are many boat moorings and mooring facilities (free of charge) in Berlin. You can always stop and then do a tour on foot.
If you would like to escape the hustle and bustle of the big city and would like to unwind and relax, simply make your way to the lakes such as the Wannsee or Müggelsee but also the Havel or the Müritz. Than you have the option to travel to Potsdam and visit the wonderful palace Sanssouci.
And if you simply don't want to do anything, just stop your boat and sun bath or go for a swim, because on your boat, you are always flexible.
Equipment and catering
Houseboats offer depending on size one or two bedrooms and a small living area with adjoining "balcony".
You can often book self-catering, as most have a small kitchen area. If you don't want to cook, you can always find many restaurants, cafes and bars along the way.
Depending on the provider pets are allowed on the houseboats. Our advice: always ask when booking your houseboat, to ensure your four legged friend must not stay behind.
Our tips
- Visit the restaurant SPREEARCHE - a log cabin restaurant located on the river Spree. The crossing to the restaurant already is an experience, because it is on the water and about 60 meters from the shore. Guests are transported on a raft. The restaurant has just 20 seats. To ensure you have a table, it is advisable to book early.
- Start your trip to Berlin on a houseboat, followed by a few relaxing days in our hotel. We think this is a great combination.
